Final day

Yesterday we had a nice dinner with Veda & Kit last night and then enjoyed some time visiting and catching up with them and playing with Xavies.

This morning we got up and stopped by veda's office at the forest service for a bit to say good bye and now its on the road heading home! It'll be a long day of driving but good to be home.

Enjoying Weed....

Not to much has really transpired since the last post. We went and had dinner with jp's grandpa for his 85th birthday in Diamond Springs and then headed to Lincoln to see his sister December and her family. We had planned to only be there for about 30 minutes but between arriving late and talking a lot we were there until just after midnight. We left there and headed to Redding to see his other sister where we would also stay for the night.

This morning we woke up and visited with his sister some and then showered and got ready for the day. Once ready we headed to see his grandma at the care center where she lives. Visiting her was awesome. She's 87 years old and sharp as a tack. At one point she said to us, "you know what, my life has been perfect." What a woman! She can think back to when she was 3 or 4 and her memories of her life are that it's been perfect. After visiting with her and showing her our pictures for a while we took off and headed up to Weed to see JP's dad where we'll stay the night.

Tomorrow its odd to McDoel to see his mom and stay the night with her and then hit the road home for Utah on Monday morning. Over the next few days I'll work on sorting through the couple of hundred pics that we've taken to do some better blogging with but I hope you've enjoyed things so far.

Travelling

We made it to the San Joaquin Valley. Its amazing to see all of the fruit and nut orchards. I'd love to be able to get out and walk around them even for a little bit. There isn't much fruit that you can really see right now but you certainly done are this every day in Utah.
